Indie what I want to do now when things seem dark is to have the sunshine pierce the clouds. I would ask that all who read this and who know Indie would contribute one or many things that we love about her and her special spirit. ... When you get better and can read this I want you to know that:
1- When you smile my heart melts.
2-You have always had the gentle spirit of an angel with a heart that knows no limits.
3-Your rosy cheeks have inspired me from the first day that we met till the last second since I saw you.
4-You have a gift to inspire the best in people even when you are not feeling well.
5-You are my firstborn and have the first spot in my heart, your name is written and etched by the Holy Spirit in my soul.
6-Your Faith in God and people is unwavering and inspiring.
7- When I think of you my heart swells with love and pride.
8-You give of yourself so freely that people that meet you are amazed. Remember the lady at the Christus statue? Free food for life at her restaurant!
9-Your ability to make people feel loved and included is amazing.
10-I love your quirks that make you unique and special. Remember when you would always ask everyone, " Can I have that"? You still do that to this day and I love you for it.
11-Late addition: when you would flap your arms like you were trying to fly. I think that you still had memories of being an angel and still thought that you could fly. Also those binkies. Mom kept trying to ween you off of them so she would cut a little off of them each day. One day all you had was this little nub. I laughed so hard! You were still holding on to that tinsy piece of a binkie. Even then you were very dedicated and relentless in getting what you wanted.
I love you Indie. With all my heart and soul.
Dad
Of course there are many many more that I could share... I could go on for a lifetime. If you could take a minute and share your special memories about or with her she would love it!

Your million dollar smile! - aks
Driving in my jeep to a gymnastics meet up at the U of U with me and a bunch of my Young Women. Some of them still ask how you are doing, cuz they thought you were so cute and fun! - aks
Making tiny little snowmen with the little bit of snow that had fallen that day and using skittles for the eyes and mouth. They wouldn't stay on, but you didn't give up. Love mom
The time when you were about Isaac's age and you came with me to hang up garage sale signs. We were listening to Smash Mouth and you were dancing to it. It was so cute!

Opening a twin pack of binkis for christmas when you were two years old. "New binkis!" you said with great joy. And you put them both in your mouth at the same time. If those binkis gave you the same comfort now that they did then I'd buy you some for christmas again. Love mom.
When I left on my mission and didn't get to see you at the airport. I bawled all the way to the San Fransisco airport. Then on my mission shortly after, I saw a little toddler that reminded me of you and I bawled most of the morning because I missed my little Indie! I have to agree with the comments on your smile. It has always made me feel good to see you smile! You're beautiful!!

Making lots and lots of pairs of earrings!
And singing John Denver songs at the top of our lungs, and pretending to play the fiddle while riding in the Jeep. You liked "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" so much you asked if you could borrow the CD at probably age 6 or 7. Good times. Good times. : ) - aks
I too love your smile as I have told you many times. You were so cute before you were walking, you would sit and wave your arms like a bird trying to fly. Another time you recieved a car thingy that had a steering wheel and stuff like a dash board on a real car and were so excited I tought you were going to blow a gasket. You are special and we love you soooo much. Grampaw S
I just ran across a picture of Heidi, Jason and Indie in their western attire looking like tough hombres, that is all except Indie and guess what, yup even as a little girl she's grinning just as cute as can be.
Love grampaw
Every time you and Avery would come to the office with your Mom, you loved to make books on the binding machine. You would punch the holes, and make me put a binding strip on it for you....so funny! You must have had so many of those multicolored books laying around! :) -Becky
When you were about two years old, on a day when dad was at work you came to me with a shirt he had wore the day before and wanted me to put it on you, so I did and you hugged yourself and smelled the shirt for a long time.
